- Names… more importantly… what’s in a name… well let’s see…
- Some people called it hemorrhagic fever… some people called it the yellow death… some people called it the angel of death… most people called it yellow fever… you see the year is about eighteen sixty-five and it is a true pandemic… my brothers and sisters in Christ it is yellow fever and it is getting to everyone… as a matter of fact it is in Fort Jefferson which is out in the gulf…man people are dropping like flies… especially in the prisons… four hundred soldiers… and as a result man about half of them have come down in yellow fever… as a result of it even the surgeon… the prison surgeon is in trouble so what do they do… they don’t know what to do… they are losing their best surgeon…. They have no other doctors… well I take that back… they have one other doctor… but they don’t want to use him because he’s a prisoner of war… he’s a traitor… he is wow what can you say… he’s the consummate traitor or so they say… as a result mu brothers and sisters in Christ they have nowhere to go to… so they go to doctor Sam and doctor Sam says look… I’ll do what I can do but you got to listen to what I’m telling you… first we got to close the hospital that’s on the other island… they said well no that’s the only hospital we got… that’s where people go to die the fever is over there… the plague is there… yellow fever is there… close it down we are going to set up another issue over here inside the prison walls… number two… all these little places that you have all your guns… this is the breeding grounds from it… it’s cold… it’s damp… you’re putting people in there and they’re getting sick… we need to either blow it up or rope it off… to quarantine it… well man they started listening to doctor Sam… from four hundred soldiers they were losing about two hundred… my brothers and sisters in Christ this is how it works… if they laid you down in bed… they would build the coffin next to your bed… that’s how it was… it was almost lined up like a cattle call… there were so many people dying and that way they don’t have to transport you they just had to pick you up and put you in a box and bring you somewhere else… as a result of doctor Sam and what he’s doing… they get down to only about forty people… that actually ended up suffering and finally fatally I guess is a good word… for having yellow fever… as a result man the wardens are ecstatic… the other prisoners are ecstatic… they can’t thank doctor Sam enough… they get a presidential pardon for him… of all people… so the soldiers asked him… the soldiers went and talked to him… so what is it you did that was so traitorous… he said well… I fixed a guys broken leg… that’s what I did… he said well… what do you mean… and he said well I didn’t know who he was… until the next morning when the union soldiers showed up and arrested me for fixing his leg… well who’s leg did you fix…he said some guy named Booth… hence why doctor Samuels last name is mud… this is why we say your name is mud…
- My brothers and sisters in Christ that ain’t got nothing to do with the bible my brothers and sisters in Christ… It’s got even less to do with the passage of the Gospel… my brothers and sisters in Christ it’s all about names… and outside of the name Jesus Christ… there is only one other name… the Eucharist… the source and summon of our lives… it is not a relic it’s not a theory it’s not a conjecture it’s not an understanding… how else do you take the word made flesh… at his word… my brothers and sisters in Christ this is what you need to understand… I’m going to convince you logically… scripturally… and truthfully… that indeed the Eucharist is the Body Blood Soul and Divinity… let us begin… the Old Testament is always less than the New Testament… conversely… the New Testament is always greater… for example… Elijah wore camel skin… ate locusts and honey… and talked of a Messiah… you heard it today… John the Baptist you heard this today… wore camel skin… ate locust and wild honey and Baptized the Messiah… it’s always better… Joseph in the old testament saves his family by fleeing to Egypt… in the new testament Joseph fees with the Holy Family to Egypt it’s better than… therefor if the bread that they got when Manna fell… was from the alter of God… this is where they believe it came from by Saint Michael… if they believed it was blessed bread… then ours has to be better than… so for you to say it’s a relic theory or conjecture… means that it’s just the opposite… that they old testament is better… then what’s the point of the new… it can’t work that way… it doesn’t work that way… wasn’t intended to be that way… because it’s not… the New testament has to be about proclaiming and fulfillment of the scriptures Jesus Christ… did you ever notice at the last supper… when I pray the mass with you… how well do you listen… my brothers and sisters in Christ do you notice that I speak in third person… He takes the bread He breaks it He blesses it… and then I say in first person… this is my body… my brothers and sisters in Christ do you understand… what he’s trying to tell you is what took place two thousand years ago at the last supper… is now taking place and I am representing it to you… that I was present then and I am present now… from the beginning to the end I am the alpha and the omega… I will never leave you orphans… I will be with you until the end of time… I didn’t say God the father per se… I didn’t say the Holy Spirit per se… I said I will be with you… this is My body… my brothers and sisters in Christ when you listen to the chalice… He takes the chalice… He blesses it… He gives it to His disciples… He says this is My Blood which will be given up for you… He is speaking in first person… my brothers and sisters in Christ… do you understand that as a Jewish person… you know and I know that there are four cups served at the meal of the Last Supper… or a Passover meal… the problem that they’re not telling you is… and this is why you need to study Christ as a Jew… is between the second and third cup is when they offer the Hors d’oeuvres… and how do you and I know an Hors d’oeuvres was issued… because the manner in which you do it is you are to dip it and hand it… and what does the Good Lord do at the Last Supper… he tells John the one of which I dip the morsel and hand it to is the one… in other words… he eats the Hors d’oeuvres… then he leaves… then the Good Lord says this is my Body and this is my Blood… so in essence my brothers and sisters in Christ what I’m trying to tell you is that if it is the Eucharist then Judas shouldn’t have consumed… well it is the Eucharist… and he didn’t… he consumed the morsel… he consumed the appetizer… my brothers and sisters in Christ listen to what I’m telling you… I’m trying to tell you that the Eucharist was foretold… that I would be with you until the end of time… you think it’s ironic that Melchizedek… the king of peace… the king of Jerusalem… that out of nowhere Abraham brings him bread… wine… and ten percent of his money… my brothers and sisters in Christ a foretelling of what is to come… and then what happens… the Good Lord is born in a manger… to eat… he’s born in the city of bread… that sounds ironic… and then He’s called the bread of life… my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink and if I am not in you and you are not in me you do not have eternal life… do you know when he says take this and eat… you know what it is in his language… take this and tear it… gnaw on it… chew it… and swallow it… that’s what it means in their language… does that sound like a relic… or theory or conjecture… and that if it’s just a relic theory or conjecture… then why didn’t you give it to Judas… I mean surely you should have just given it to him… my brothers and sisters in Christ when you hear me say do this in sacrifice of me… do not get caught up in the rhetoric that it’s a recollection... a theory… an understanding… let me explain… when I was in the seminary… my very first class the teacher said seminarian Beard… tell me who was the first prostitute in scripture… and I’m thinking… well I don’t know I wasn’t there… I didn’t date her I don’t think… I don’t know… okay maybe I did maybe I didn’t… deny everything at all costs… he said so who do you say… I roll out Mary Magdalene everybody else does… and then he says no… the translator… who translated for you seminarian Beard… did you do it or did someone else do it for you… that’s the problem… that’s why in the seminary he would speak to us only in the language… so that we would understand what actually was said… the words are do this in sacrifice of me… you need to do this… I.E act on it and if Manna fell every day in the desert for forty years… then it’s still got to fall… if it did it over here in the old it’s got to do it better in the new… if it only fell for forty years it’s got to be more here… every hour of every day in every country of every language Manna falls inside the church… the Eucharist is true… I’ll tell you what… rhetorically… in scripture who is the one person outside of Mary… that every time they saw the Christ… every time… bar none… they knew exactly who he was without introduction without any notice… they immediately called out who he was… who am I… that’s right… you’re lucifer himself… every time he went to exorcise somebody the demon says the exact same thing over and over again… I know who you are… you are the son of the living God… be quiet… whatever you do what is it you want of me… do not throw me into the pigs… ever time the devil goes after him… he knows him since day one because that’s the day he was created… the angel of light… they are created on day one… so it begs the question… if the devil knew him back then… then why is it that the only host the Satan groups want… is that of the catholic church… you don’t go to the Methodist church… didn’t go to the Baptist church… didn’t’ go to the Pentecostal… no use going to the Muslims or the Mormons… why is it you only come after the ones here… and don’t tell me it doesn’t happen… for every month since I’ve been here for the last several years… every month we have a Satan group that leaves one of their calling cards by one of our doors… could be a broke coconut… could be a broken crucifix… could be a certain satanic symbol… my brothers in Christ if that is true then why is it your only after this one… because it is true… and the Eucharist is true… that’s the point… this is why I’m telling you… don’t you understand… this is why I need you to receive it every day… this is why I need you to come on Sundays and receive him… this is why I want you even if you can’t to walk up the isle… put your hands over your heart and say Lord I’m coming hang in there with me… I’m coming… I’m just not in a position to receive but I’ll get there… my brothers in Christ don’t you get it… if you don’t receive the Eucharist… man where’s the fight… the fight is supernatural… Padre Pio was right… he said we’d be better off without the sun then the Eucharist… it is his Body Blood Soul and Divinity… I can feel it… I’m telling you when we call down the Holy Spirit it’s tangible… it’s real… that’s why I’m so protective of it… that’s why I want you to have it… why… because that’s everything… John Paul was right… that little white Host can solve all the problems in the world… this is why I want you to receive him… and when you come to the alter… for the love of Christ… can you leave your problem right here… and take the Host… do you understand why he says that my yoke is easy and that my burden is light… because I created the world by thought… I’m the one that allowed the problem to come to you… what I’m trying to get you to do is to come to me with it… I.E. the communion rail… to come and receive me…so that when you give it to me I give you me… do not take it back to your pew… or for the love of Christ himself do not take it out those doors… give us this day our daily bread… not a hair on your head gets touched… nobody can do nothing to you until he ordains it… and if he ordains it… if he brings you to it… he will bring you through it… the bottom line is do the Eucharist is true… someday I pray… that you feel it as I feel it… that it moves you to such a point that you know you can’t go without it… I want you to want it for so much… that without it you can no longer exist…
- I leave you with the words of a great Saint… someday I hope you’ll understand… that the Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives… and that if you ever leave the church… that if you’re going to leave it you leave it on your own doing… but I pray that the Eucharist becomes such a great part of your life that you can’t live without it… may the Good Lord bless you and keep you and may his face forever be upon you…
